Expressions of Interest – Building Officials

At Solutions Team, we provide expert building compliance services to Councils and the wider building industry across New Zealand. Our qualified Building Consent Officers and Approvals Managers support BCAs and TAs with consent processing, inspections, accreditation, technical auditing, and competency assessments.

With branches in Christchurch, Timaru, Wellington, Palmerston North, and Auckland (or working remotely), you will have the opportunity to contribute to a wide variety of projects while developing your skills alongside a highly experienced team.

We are building our Talent Pipeline to meet client demand, so if you have the skills, experience, and qualifications as a Building Official (Res 1–3 and/or Com 1–3 competency); we would love to hear from you.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong knowledge of the NZ Building Code and Building Act
• Relevant tertiary qualification (Reg 18) and/or significant regulatory experience
• Proven experience in processing or inspecting residential/commercial projects
• Excellent communication, sound judgement, and customer focus
• Computer literacy and ability to work independently
• Full NZ driver’s licence
• Preferably NCAS Appendix 2 assessed
